Great schools make great communities. Our school district is the leading partner in a community education partnership that includes students, parents, educators, community members, and area businesses.
Community and parental involvement have always been keys to GCPS' success. PTAs, school councils, cluster & district-level foundations, business partners, mentor & volunteer opportunities, local school events, and other opportunities exist for community members to be involved with schools.
Who we are...
The Gwinnett County Public Schools Foundation Fund, Inc. is a non-profit 501(c)(3) charitable organization dedicated to providing financial resources to enrich and enhance education in Gwinnett County Public Schools. Established in 2006, the Foundation is committed to sustaining the world-class standards of Gwinnett County Public Schools. A Board of Trustees that is representative of the Gwinnett community governs the Foundation, fostering the belief that community involvement in public education is essential to promoting an educated, healthy, responsible citizenry and desirable quality of life in Gwinnett County.
Studies show that successful mentoring programs help students develop social skills, improve their school achievement and graduation rates, build character, and many other benefits. GCPS has proactively developed a Community-Based Mentoring program to connect caring adults in the community with male and female students in grades 4 through 12 to provide guidance, encouragement, and support to help them become successful young adults, both in and out of school.
